Frames Activity - Page 2
The Elements Activity web page is settup as 4 frames within the same page.
- At the top of the page is a header section.
- On the left side is a link section. Notice that there is a slide bar on the right of the frame that allows you to observe and navigate to items not showing. The slider is available because the frame is actually a unique page within the larger page.
- On the right, is a main frame area where you are reading this activity. Notice that when you click on a link from any other frame on this site, the change or movement occurs in the main frame area. All the other frames stay the same. In fact, they do not change at all. If you were using tables to accomplish the layout, all of the information would have to be copied and changed to all of the pages on the website that uses the same layout. Changes can be made quicly and easily.
- On the bottom is an area where contact or other information can be put.
Our example has 4 frames. You can have 2, 3, 4, or any number of frames. But, just as in tables, the overall rule is to keep things simple and to allow for open space.
