Adding text descriptions to images

The following image does not have text descriptors.

To add a text descriptor to an image:

  1. Open the dialogue box under the menu selection of Format > Pictures.

            a. This option can sometimes be found by right clicking on the image (or using the Application Key).

  1. Choose the Web tab.
  2. Fill in the Alternative Text box with the text description for the image.
  3. Press the OK button.
  4. Save the document.
  5. Save-As the document as a Filtered Web Page. Only the Filtered Web Page will activate the text descriptors.

Now the webpage is ready to upload to your server.

Some images are easily understood with a descriptor or caption added. Other images are better suited for just the text descriptor.
